I used to play in a band called Salems Witness at The Ruskin. Joe Lucy was the landlord and we used to play either Thursday or Sunday nights. In the main Fridays/Saturdays seemed to be Angelwitch, Dogwatch or Iron Maiden. Also remember Praying Mantis and Minus Tirith. Fantastic times! Always used to grab a burger in the Wimpy at Canning Town afterwards.

Came down to London for a weekend from Sunderland in the early 80s and paid a visit to the Ruskin arms. Saw a band called Desolation Angels and had a great night, even bought their album on return home. Wished we had something like it up here. The only venue we ever had was Sunderland Locarno where Free recorded tracks for their live album but that closed in 1985 and was finally demolished a couple of years ago to make way for Tescos. So I know how you feel.

May I just say what a relief to uncover somebody who actually knows what they're discussing on the net. You certainly know how to bring a problem to light and make it important. More people really need to look at this and understand this side of your story. It's surprising you are not more popular because you most certainly have the gift.

Loved this pub. We used to got down on a Friday or a Saturday night and either stay all night or go to The Pigeons or on to The Kings between late eighties and early ninetees. All head banging in a straight line! Those were the days. Used to drink down there with Mahler, John Jacqui, Rossia, Nicole, Trish, Steve, Johnny and I always used to chat with Declan. Good times.

If you are buying for a drum set for your teenager or child, you've probably found that the best way is with a junior drum set. If not, you should probably consider one because this type of drum kits make tons of sense for young drummers and children. It is no longer necessary to best in a full drum sets if your child is just beginning their drumming experience.
